OAEC 2013 "Chinese culture" artistic delegation

Oriental Art Education Center 2013 "Chinese culture" artistic delegation will be held June 29-July 11, in Beijing and Chengdu. Fifteen of OAEC outstanding students will be participated in a variety of arts and cultural activities, details are as follows:

Time: June 29-July 11, 2013

Location: Beijing, Chengdu China Activity

Fee: Free (including room and board, training, observation, local transportation, etc.);

International and domestic air tickets are managed by the participants.

Places limited to 15, first come first serve basis.

Registration qualify: OAEC students; Age :10-18 years old.

Application Deadline: 3/31/2013.

OAEC - won three great rewards at Starquest 3013

The 20th Starquest 2013 Texas Regional competition was held Feb 15th to 17th at CA Nelson Auditorium Pearland. OAEC student Vicky Weng won the overall first place of classic senior solo and the highest award " Platinum award" by performing solo dance "Zen"; The Junior company's "Let’s Fly-technique Abstracts" won the overall 3rd place of classic petite large group at high gold award, Solo dance "red lantern” performed by Joyce Weng, won the high gold award.as well..

东方艺术教育中心参加2013农历新年园游会展示中华文化魅力

第十七届德州農曆新年園遊會2月16日在休斯顿Amity Park隆重举行，由十一台主播周璇明主持，主辦人李蔚華先生致歡迎詞，接著由貴賓休市市長Annise Parker、國會議員Al Green致詞，休士頓各大演出團體逐一登場演出, 舞龍舞獅，氣氛热烈。東方藝術教育中心的集体舞 “剪纸姑酿” 给园游会带来浓郁的中国传统佳节的喜庆和祝福，由7岁的Alice Ma和8 岁的Rachael Gai表演的迷你版 “小梁祝”更是深得观众和巿长安妮斯•帕克的钟爱。

新年園遊會让来自不同国家不同族裔的民众感受到中国文化的魅力, 提升了亚裔在休斯敦多元文化发展中的地位。丰富多彩的节目和各种活动, 衬托出浓浓的过年气氛，也让在美国生长的华裔后代体验民族传统文化习俗, 加深对中华文化的认知和热爱.

春节期间, 东方艺术教育中心频频受邀参加各大庆典活动, 2月2日, 舞蹈 “红灯拢”

“绒花” 独舞 “禅” 和葫芦丝独奏 “美丽的金孔雀”参加休斯顿儿童博物馆2013农历新年庆典, 精彩的表演吸引了各族裔的观众,并在 KHOU专播. “小梁祝” 参加华夏华人协会2013年会,受观众激赏, 2月15日晚,大型原创舞导“禅意西方”在专协主办的戏曲晚会 “皖风徽韵美洲行”精彩呈现东方美感; 2月16日舞蹈 “藏迷”和 “禅” 受邀前往德州菩提中心表演, 给中外观众献上最美的节日祝福。

OAEC participating in the Houston 2013 Spring Festival Celebration Variety Show

“Embrace the spring "- the Houston 2013 Spring Festival Celebration Gala was held at Stanford Center on the January 19 successfully. The large-scale variety show hosted by the Chinese Civic Center, has a very high artistic level, full of strong national characteristics and artistic charm. Colorful and full of joyful, passed a wonderful blessing. Over twenty arts groups and professional artists, 200 actors and staff to participate in the show, nearly a thousand of friends and family members enjoyed the show together to celebrate the Lunar New Year, embrace the spring, wish a better future.
